EY Northern Ireland Partners with Action Cancer for Charity

EY Northern Ireland has announced a new two-year charity partnership with Action Cancer, the leading cancer charity in Northern Ireland. The collaboration aims to raise funds to enhance life-saving skin cancer detection services by purchasing new dermatoscopes, which are crucial tools in identifying skin cancer. This investment will allow Action Cancer to offer an additional 300 skin cancer detection appointments, ensuring that more individuals can access this vital service.

The appointments are available to anyone aged 18 and over who has a concerning mole or lesion. They provide timely assessments that can potentially save lives by facilitating early detection and treatment. To support this initiative, EY Northern Ireland has planned a variety of engaging fundraising activities, including static cycling events, cake sales, and bucket collections throughout the partnership period.

Kicking off the partnership, EY employees undertook a challenge on Tuesday, 24th September, cycling the 260-mile distance of the Causeway Coastal Route on a static bike placed in the reception area of EY Northern Ireland’s Belfast office. This event is part of EY’s annual ‘Giving Week,’ which runs from 23rd to 27th September, encouraging employees to volunteer, share skills, and donate to charities of their choice.
