Marks & Spencer left shoppers laughing after a humorous spelling mishap.

The popular retailer had posted a job listing for a customer assistant in the clothing and home department at one of their locations.

However, instead of correctly spelling the store Location as ‘Worcester,’ the ad mistakenly listed it as ‘Worchester’.

Another chimed in: “If that were the case, it might have been spelled Woowoostarshar.”

A third quipped: “Probably just a typo from someone not familiar with the place. I’ve never had to write it myself, and I’d have to look up the spelling too.”

A fourth joked: “Wait, where is it again?”

Someone else added: “At least it’s not Wuster, we should count ourselves lucky.”

Another commented: “Hi, I’m Ed Worchester.”

The part-time position offers £12 per hour and the application closes next Wednesday (16 Oct).

The successful applicant will be working on a rotating two-week shift schedule.

Marks & Spencer has since corrected the job advert to properly read ‘Worcester’ after being made aware of the mistake.

M&S, known for its iconic ‘Not just any…’ ad campaigns, has been approached for comment.
