The local estate agent, Dart and Partners, said beach huts in the area have been fetching six-figure sums for years, with many passed down through generations, making them a rare find.

But the real selling point isn’t the hut itself—it’s the sandy beach it’s perched on. The last one that sold went for over a quarter of a million pounds.

To put things in perspective, a two-bedroom cottage further along the beach fetched £675,000 last year, and an “estuary-facing apartment” in the nearby Morgan’s Quay development sold for more than £600,000.
