Man Miraculously Survives Shocking Electric Zap on Utility Pole

Smoke can be seen rising from the point of contact betA man has miraculously survived a severe electrocution after climbing a utility pole, in a shocking incident caught on video.

The harrowing footage shows the man hanging limply by his legs, suspended in a twisted position several yards above the ground as horrified onlookers watch.

Smoke rises from the contact point between his body and the live wires, and his clothes appear charred with large burn holes.

Additional footage captures firefighters climbing a ladder to carefully pull him from the live wires.

The alarming incident took place on Monday afternoon, October 28, in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

Although it’s unclear why he climbed the pole, some reports suggest he might be homeless, while others claim he was attempting to repair cables, though neither theory has been confirmed by authorities.

Despite the extreme risk posed by the high-voltage wires, firefighters succeeded in rescuing him.

According to local media VKNews24, the man was taken to a nearby hospital with severe third-degree burns, covering more than 60% of his body.

Though his injuries are critical, he survived the electric shock and is currently receiving medical care.
