Unilumin Group celebrated its 20th anniversary on 26 October 2024 with the “Advancing Together with Metasight” event at its Daya Bay Science and Technology Base. The occasion also served as the Global Ecosystem Partner Conference, bringing together industry leaders, partners, investors, and media from around the world. Nicolas Bono, the stage and lighting designer for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics and Global Creative Design Director of France’s BK Design Company, joined other notable attendees in commemorating two decades of Unilumin’s growth and innovation.
Central to the event was Unilumin’s presentation of its metasight technology, which represents a deep fusion of LED advancements with AI and creative applications. This strategic direction in “metasight” incorporates cutting-edge LED technologies such as Mini/Micro LEDs, virtual shooting tools, and stage lighting solutions, emphasising their potential in a range of applications, from interior design to art installations.
Unilumin highlighted its pioneering work in Mini/Micro LED technology, which focuses on high integration, density, and miniaturisation to support comprehensive applications. This technological suite includes its proprietary U-Natural series, a new LED material designed to enhance visual aesthetics through micro-nano optical design, offering a seamless blend with decorative elements and covering pixel pitches from 0.6 to 2.6mm. With this range, Unilumin addresses common issues in LED displays, such as uneven colour distribution, and seeks to merge LED displays with ambient decor.
The group also introduced several innovative products that leverage its core Chip-on-Board (COB) and Micro Integrated Processing (MIP) technologies, including its invisible display series Umake SV and outdoor COB products. These fully self-developed and cost-controlled technologies are expected to empower Unilumin’s partners and enhance the company’s position in the market.
The event further explored the future potential of metasight through discussions led by international designers and experts, who shared insights into the growing intersection of LED technology with architecture, stage performance, and public art. Unilumin’s commitment to blending technology with creative design was a recurrent theme, with the group noting that metasight technology will continue to expand the possibilities in LED application fields.
As a leader in the metasight and LED industries, Unilumin is pursuing a strategy that places innovation and collaboration at the forefront of its operations. By combining LED display advancements with artistic applications, the company aims to remain at the cutting edge of technological and aesthetic integrations.
Looking ahead, Unilumin’s vision includes fostering even greater collaboration with global partners to drive further innovation in the metasight sector. The group has set its sights on advancing technology and design applications that will continue to push the boundaries of the LED industry, affirming its mission to create a deeply integrated ecosystem.
