BTY, a leading infrastructure advisory firm, has announced that Jack McInerney, Managing Director responsible for global Infrastructure Advisory and the firm’s European expansion, has joined its ownership group. The move comes as recognition of McInerney’s leadership in driving BTY’s growth across North America and Europe over the past decade.
McInerney’s appointment reflects BTY’s commitment to recognising talent that contributes to the firm’s continued success. Under his leadership, BTY has handled over $100 billion in project investments across more than 200 deals, ranging from social infrastructure and clean energy to transportation, mobility, and digital connectivity. BTY’s portfolio includes major projects such as the Ontario Line RSSOM and LaGuardia Airport Terminal B in North America, and Project Opus and Higher Education Bundle 1 in Europe.
McInerney, who joined BTY in 2011 and initially worked out of Vancouver, has been instrumental in driving the firm’s entry into new sectors. He spearheaded BTY’s expansion into linear infrastructure, particularly in transportation assets and transit systems, which helped the firm build a strong client base across North America. More recently, McInerney has been leading BTY’s European expansion, with Dublin serving as a hub for growth in the region.
“This is an exciting new chapter for BTY,” McInerney said, adding that the firm is eager to share its new strategic direction with clients and partners. “Our success is rooted in fostering high-performing, integrated teams built on empowered and growth-oriented succession and mentorship. We ensure clients benefit from the depth and breadth of BTY’s industry relationships, and the wealth of expertise across project, finance, and construction disciplines that we consistently deliver.”
BTY’s growth under McInerney’s leadership has included key roles in landmark projects, such as the Southern Civil Stations and Tunnel projects in Canada, the I-4 Ultimate in the U.S., and one of Europe’s largest infrastructure deals involving the Dublin Convention Centre and other telecom and healthcare assets in Ireland.
Toby Mallinder, BTY’s Managing Director, praised McInerney’s contributions to the firm’s success. “Jack exemplifies how we cultivate talent and maximise the value our approach delivers to clients in capital markets and asset management. His efforts have significantly propelled BTY’s growth by assembling a top-tier team with a unique, client-focused approach that spans every sector and delivery model in the global infrastructure landscape.”
As BTY expands its operations, particularly in Europe and the U.S., the firm is set to grow its capabilities in renewables, decarbonisation, and connectivity. McInerney’s role will be pivotal in ensuring BTY continues to lead in providing advisory services across these rapidly evolving sectors.
McInerney emphasised the firm’s focus on maintaining its client-centric approach while advancing into new markets. “We look forward to sharing our expertise in renewables, energy, decarbonisation, and operational services, building on our proven track record of delivering innovative solutions for clients.”
BTY’s new strategic direction, supported by McInerney’s leadership, sets the stage for further expansion and continued success in global infrastructure advisory services. To learn more, visit BTY.COM.
