Woman chased through supermarket by gunmen before being shot dead

A terrified woman was hunted down by two hooded gunmen through a supermarket before being shot dead in a parked car.

Adriana Silva dos Santos was captured on chilling CCTV footage sprinting into the store as the hitmen followed closely behind.

In the footage, a frightened young boy is seen running to a relative behind the counter, and they both duck out of sight.

Desperate, Adriana raced through the supermarket aisles and fled outside, seeking refuge in a parked car.

After hiding in the back seat, the gunmen exited the store and allegedly fired at her from close range while she was trapped.

The car’s owner rushed Adriana, 26, to a nearby hospital, but she sadly did not survive her injuries.

The fatal shooting occurred in the city of Imperatriz in northern Brazil around 11:55 p.m. on Monday, September 30.

Police reports revealed that Adriana, originally from the town of Governador Edison Lobão, had previously served prison time for drug trafficking.

She had recently relocated to the Itamar Guará neighborhood of Imperatriz.

Authorities suspect the murder was linked to drug-related activities and have ruled out femicide for now.

The investigation into Adriana’s death remains ongoing.
