Two men stormed into a bakery in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on Monday evening, loudly declaring a robbery and ordering everyone to the floor.
Despite the alarming scene, a quick-thinking customer noticed that one of the robbers was wielding a toy firearm and decided to take action.
CCTV footage captured the moment the customer, seated alone at a table, turned around to assess the situation.

One suspect passed by him, pointing his weapon at a couple near the counter.
Initially, the customer appeared hesitant, contemplating standing up, but the gunman noticed him and aimed his fake weapon in his direction.
Once the suspect turned away, the customer seized the opportunity, grabbed his chair, and sprang into action.
In a dramatic turn, the footage shows the customer chasing the armed man out of the bakery, using the chair as his weapon.
According to police, his courageous move forced both suspects to flee the scene empty-handed.
The man reportedly managed to strike one of the would-be robbers with the chair during the pursuit, scattering the pair in different directions.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., resulted in no injuries, but the suspects remain at large.
Local authorities launched a search operation based on descriptions provided by the heroic customer and bakery staff.
The customer later informed police that he was confident the guns were fake, as reported by vknews24.
Investigators are continuing their efforts to locate the suspects while the community lauds the customer’s bravery, which thwarted the crime without further escalation.
