A chilling cartel-related shooting in a Mexican bar left ten people dead, with authorities believing the primary target was a hitman known as “Skinny Guy.”
The attack unfolded when four armed men arrived at the Cantaritos Bar in Santiago de Querétaro, northwest of Mexico City, at around 9:30 PM last Saturday (November 9).

The assailants, arriving in a silver pickup truck, stormed the venue, unleashing a hail of gunfire that killed seven men and three women while injuring 13 others.
Disturbing footage from the scene captured the chaos as bullets ricocheted throughout the bar.
Panicked patrons were seen dropping to the floor, some scrambling for cover while others collapsed, apparently struck by gunfire.
Surveillance video revealed the attackers’ arrival, showing two suspects entering the bar while the others stayed with the vehicle outside.
The brutal massacre is believed to have been orchestrated by members of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
Investigators suspect the gunmen targeted Fernando González Núñez, known as “Skinny Guy,” a 31-year-old hitman allegedly affiliated with the rival Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
González reportedly attracted the attackers after revealing his location on social media just minutes before the assault.
His posts often flaunted his lifestyle, featuring images of him wielding firearms and enjoying extravagant trips.
Authorities noted he had even attempted to recruit new cartel members online, including an incident in August where he openly sought aspiring hitmen for the CJNG.
González’s criminal history includes two arrests earlier this year—once in March for carrying firearms and again in August related to his recruitment activities.
Police believe the bar shooting was in retaliation for an attack González reportedly launched against Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel members two days prior.
Adding to the notoriety surrounding “Skinny Guy” was his romantic link to Jacky Ramírez, a model and influencer known for her appearances on the reality show Acapulco Shore.
The intersection of cartel violence and social media has become increasingly evident, with criminals often using online platforms to boast or recruit, inadvertently exposing themselves to rival groups.
The Santa Rosa de Lima and CJNG cartels have been locked in a vicious turf war for control over the region, fueling relentless violence.
Following the attack, authorities managed to apprehend one of the suspected gunmen, but the investigation remains active as they pursue other perpetrators.
The tragedy underscores the devastating impact of cartel conflicts on local communities, as innocent lives are often caught in the crossfire of such violent disputes.
