Plane Crash Kills Two as Aircraft Plummets onto Busy Street

A tragic plane crash in Ecuador has claimed the lives of two people and left one injured after the aircraft plummeted onto a bustling street.

Shocking footage from the scene captured the violent impact, with video taken from two angles showing the devastating aftermath.

In the recordings, the street is filled with pedestrians, vehicles, and motorcyclists when the plane suddenly crashes down, breaking apart on impact.

Debris is seen flying across the road, with fragments of metal scattering over the tarmac.

A white car, caught in the chaos, was partially crushed by the wreckage.

Another angle of the crash, captured from the opposite side of the street, shows the military plane appearing to drop straight from the sky without warning.

The aircraft, a military training plane from Ecuador’s Superior Military Aviation School, was conducting an instructional flight when the accident occurred.

The Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE) later identified the victims as Captain Diana Estefaníaiz Solis and Cadet Juan Andrés Pacheco Ramírez.

A third person, a motorcyclist, was injured after being struck by debris from the crash.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Eleodoro Solorzano Avenue in La Libertad, a vibrant area in the coastal city, on November 26.

Responders quickly attended the scene, where they found the wreckage of the plane and the injured motorcyclist.

In an official statement, the Ecuadorian military expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the two aviators.

The statement, shared online, read: “The military and civilian personnel of our institution are in mourning for the unfortunate death of Captain Diana Estefaníaiz Solis and Cadet Juan Andrés Pacheco Ramírez, who in life were highlighted ‘Dame and Knight of the Air.’

Our sincere condolences to the families and friends for such irreparable losses.

We raise our prayers to the Almighty to receive their souls in His holy kingdom.”

The Ecuadorian military confirmed that support services are being provided to the families of the victims.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to determine what caused the plane to crash in such a catastrophic manner.
