A 78-year-old man defied the odds after surviving a collision with a train while crossing a railway line in Paranaguá, Brazil, located southwest of São Paulo.

Although he had ample time to halt and let the locomotive pass, the man continued forward, staring straight ahead, seemingly oblivious to the impending danger.

Emergency services were alerted by locals who witnessed the shocking scene.
Paramedics arrived and treated the elderly man, who, to their surprise, explained that he neither saw nor heard the train.
Despite being visibly disoriented, he remained conscious throughout the ordeal.
The man complained of severe hip pain and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
As of the evening of December 19, he was still under observation.
However, the hospital has not disclosed details about his condition, according to reports from vknews24.
Local media attempted to contact the rail transport company Rumo Logística for comment, but no response had been provided at the time of reporting.
