A heart-stopping incident at a village fair in Rakehti, Uttar Pradesh, saw a 13-year-old girl clinging desperately to a metal rod 60 feet above the ground after falling from her Ferris wheel pod.
Shocking footage captured the girl hanging upside down beneath the open capsule, as bystanders watched in horror.
In the tense moments that followed, a man in a neighboring gondola was seen reaching out to help, while a fair employee climbed a ladder to assist.

As the crowd’s frantic screams filled the air, the ride operator spun the wheel to bring the girl closer to the ground.
The teen held on tightly to the metal bar, enduring the harrowing experience until the Ferris wheel was brought to a halt at its lowest point.
With the help of a worker, the girl was safely removed from the ride, prompting a wave of relieved cheers from the onlookers.
The dramatic rescue unfolded on Wednesday, December 4, near the border with Nepal, and the teenager miraculously escaped the ordeal unscathed.
Local officials later confirmed that a sudden jolt had caused the girl to fall from her pod, leaving her hanging in mid-air.
Sub-District Magistrate Rajiv Nigam assured the public that the teen had suffered no injuries.
However, the incident has raised serious concerns about safety regulations at the fair.
Authorities revealed that the Ferris wheel was operating without proper permits, and an investigation is now underway to determine how it was allowed to function without the necessary authorization.
This near-tragedy comes just weeks after another alarming Ferris wheel mishap in Uttar Pradesh, where a teenage girl’s hair became entangled in the ride’s machinery, resulting in severe injuries.
Both incidents underscore the urgent need for stricter oversight and safety measures at amusement rides across the region.
