A dramatic video has captured the moment a car driven by a drunk teenager slammed into a supermarket, leaving a trail of destruction and significant financial losses.
The unidentified 19-year-old driver lost control of his Honda City while attempting a turn, leading to a catastrophic crash into the “Ao Gosto Carnes” supermarket in the Nova Suíssa neighborhood of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Security footage from a neighboring business shows the vehicle spinning in the opposite direction after colliding with another car before smashing through the supermarket’s façade.

Inside, the car’s front end damaged several freezers and scattered products.
Police responding to the 4:30 a.m. crash on November 30 reported that the driver exhibited clear signs of intoxication.
He was not alone in the vehicle, but neither he nor his passenger suffered serious injuries.
Fortunately, the store was empty at the time, avoiding what could have been a far more tragic outcome.
The supermarket’s owner detailed the extensive damage caused by the incident, estimating losses at around two million Brazilian Reals (approximately £260,600).
The structure itself, along with doors, freezers, and stock, was severely impacted. High-value products, including specialty and premium meats, must now be discarded due to thawing and potential contamination from shattered glass.
The store remains closed with no timeline for reopening, leaving its future uncertain.
Legal representatives for the business have announced plans to pursue action against the driver to recover damages.
Meanwhile, the vehicle was removed from the site by authorities, and the driver was taken to the DMV for further investigation.
This shocking incident serves as a sobering reminder of the devastating consequences of drunk driving.
