Dozens of locals in search of free beer were caught on camera looting 25 tonnes of beer cans from an overturned lorry trailer in Mexico.
The dramatic footage shows a chaotic scene as people armed with cardboard boxes and crates scrambled to collect as much of the spilled cargo as possible.
Some even climbed into the trailer’s damaged roof to grab more cans, turning the accident site into an impromptu party for opportunists.

Among the crowd, one enthusiastic individual was spotted cracking open a can right on the spot, leisurely sipping as others frantically loaded up their makeshift hauls.
The incident unfolded around 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 28, after the driver of the beer-laden lorry reportedly lost control while speeding through a curve on the Mérida-Campeche highway, near kilometre 86.
The resulting crash caused the trailer to overturn, spilling its entire load of beer across the road.
The crash brought traffic to a standstill, with drivers abandoning their vehicles to grab the unexpected bounty.
Word spread quickly to nearby Tepakán, prompting locals to rush to the scene, eager to join in on the looting.
The sudden influx of scavengers created a frenzy, with people competing to gather as many cans as they could carry.
Emergency services arrived shortly after the crash, and paramedics treated the driver, who fortunately only suffered minor injuries.
Despite the mayhem, officers from Mexico’s National Guard eventually arrived to disperse the crowd.
By then, much of the beer had already been taken, but no arrests were made.
The chaotic aftermath has sparked discussion online, with many marveling at the sheer scale of the opportunistic looting, while others expressed concern about the dangers of such reckless behavior.
