Two young women narrowly escaped a potentially fatal accident after leaping out of the way of a runaway bus just in time.
CCTV footage captured the terrifying moment when the heavy bus, which had lost control, came speeding down a slope before becoming airborne.
The two women, seated at a street corner waiting for their bus, spotted the vehicle barreling towards them at the last second.

In a desperate move, they threw themselves to the ground, narrowly avoiding disaster as the bus flew past them, struck a utility pole, and landed on its side in the middle of an intersection.
Despite the close call, the women quickly picked themselves up and jogged away, visibly shaken but unharmed.
Several locals rushed toward the overturned bus, which had crashed on Tuesday, October 1st, in Bogotá, Colombia.
Preliminary reports suggest that brake failure was responsible for the crash, which caused the driver to lose control and swerve toward the curb where the women were seated.
Local police are investigating the incident, though no injuries or fatalities had been confirmed at the time of reporting.
It’s also unclear how many passengers were aboard the bus during the accident, according to NeedToKnow.
A social media user commented on the footage, saying, “Those girls are incredibly lucky—it’s a miracle they’re fine.”
Others expressed frustration over Bogotá’s long-standing issues with illegal transportation, with one user adding, “No mayor in Bogotá has ever tackled this problem.”
