An Air China Airbus A320 had an unusual encounter during its final approach to the runway, colliding with a flock of birds in an event that was caught on camera.
The dramatic moment unfolded as the aircraft descended slowly, leading to an unavoidable bird strike, according to a report from vknews24.
In the video, shared widely online, the plane is seen flying through the flock as it nears the ground. Several birds fall from the sky on impact, while others scatter in all directions.

The aftermath was visible on the aircraft’s exterior, with bloodstains appearing on its nose.
Despite the unsettling incident, the plane sustained no damage and landed safely without any complications.
A subsequent inspection revealed that the engine remained in excellent condition.
While this encounter ended without harm, bird strikes are a known hazard in aviation, sometimes resulting in significant damage.
In the past, such strikes have caused fires, damaged engines, and even broken propellers.
According to the Pilot Institute, bird collisions most frequently occur during takeoff and landing phases when aircraft are at their slowest speeds.
This, experts explain, somewhat reduces the severity of the impacts, as the lower velocity lessens the force of collisions.
The video of the incident sparked discussion on Reddit, where users weighed in with a mix of humor and surprise.
One person quipped, “Literally a strike,” while another joked, “A murder you might say,” playing on the term for a group of crows.
A relieved commenter noted, “At least none of them went into the engines,” while another simply exclaimed, “Damn.”
A humorous take came from a user named Baldwin, who wrote, “Move b****es, I’m a plane.”
The bird strike occurred on Thursday, December 5, adding to the long history of such events as both a reminder of aviation’s challenges and a testament to modern aircraft resilience.
