A police officer dressed as the Grinch was caught on camera punching a man during a Christmas parade in La Pintana, Chile.
The incident unfolded after the man, reportedly intoxicated, began harassing and mocking another officer, prompting the violent reaction.
Footage captured by a bystander shows the man approaching the Grinch-costumed officer from behind, provoking a swift and aggressive response.

The officer charged at the man, delivering a series of punches while the man remained stationary.
Before he could react or defend himself, another punch landed, knocking him to the ground.
The officer stood over the man as the confrontation seemed to end, leaving onlookers shocked.
The altercation occurred during the ‘Caravana Navideña MICC’ or ‘Christmas Caravan,’ a local parade attended by approximately 200 people.
Spectators lined both sides of the street, and the chaotic scene was marked by shouts, screams, and cries from children who witnessed the scuffle.
In the video, a woman dressed as an elf can be seen jumping from a vehicle and rushing toward the scene in an apparent attempt to intervene.
The officers involved were members of Chile’s national law enforcement, the Carabineros, and had been riding in a pick-up truck as part of the parade when the incident began.
Reports indicate that roughly ten bystanders eventually stepped in to separate the officer from the man.
The victim, who sustained a dental injury and minor lower back trauma, was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The event has sparked outrage and raised questions about the officer’s conduct, particularly given the family-friendly nature of the parade.
