A cat has been rescued after being discovered trapped in wet cement. The unfortunate feline, named Pelle, was spotted by a passerby on their way to work in Zeeheldenbuurt, Amsterdam, on Monday (October 14).
Upon realizing the cat was coated in cement, the passerby immediately contacted a local animal ambulance service for help.
Rescue workers quickly arrived and rushed Pelle to the vet, where they found his tag identifying him as a local resident.

Liselott Oskam, an employee from the animal ambulance, told local media, “It took some time, but luckily we were able to rinse off all the cement.”
Thankfully, the cement was still wet, allowing the team to clean Pelle without too much trouble. If it had dried, the process would have been far more challenging.
The nearby homes were undergoing renovations, which likely explains how Pelle ended up in the mess.
The vet commented that while it’s not uncommon for animals to accidentally step in wet cement, it’s rare to find one fully covered.
Fortunately, Pelle made it home safely with no lasting damage.
The animal ambulance later shared images on Instagram, showing Pelle both coated in cement and cleaned up after his ordeal.
