A driver was left screaming in terror when an elephant suddenly charged their car on a main road in northern Malaysia.
The young elephant, which had apparently strayed from its herd, was calmly strolling along the highway when the motorist’s high beams reportedly startled it.
In footage of the incident, the driver can be seen slowing down to get a closer look at the animal.

But what seemed like a peaceful moment quickly turned dangerous as the elephant turned aggressive, charging at the car.
The driver’s screams filled the air as the elephant struck the side of the vehicle with its trunk. In a panic, the motorist hit the gas to escape, according to VKNews24.
The dramatic encounter took place on the East-West Highway.
Locals chimed in after the video surfaced, offering advice on how to handle such situations. “Never put your beams on or sound the horn when near a large animal, especially an elephant,”
One person cautioned. Another speculated, “Maybe the elephant was hungry and seeking help.”
Roy, another local, blamed habitat loss, saying, “Construction companies are cutting down forests, leaving wild animals with nowhere to go. Blame the developers.”
