Trump issues ‘last warning’ to Hamas terrorists, demands release of hostages: ‘HELL TO PAY’

President Trump Issues a Stern Warning to Hamas: Release Hostages Immediately
In a direct and forceful message on Truth Social, President Donald Trump addressed Hamas, urging the terrorist group to immediately release all hostages and return the bodies of those they have murdered. Trump’s post followed a meeting with former Hamas hostages who had traveled to Washington, D.C. The group included Eli Sharabi, Doron Steinbrecher, Keith Siegel, Aviva Siegel, Naama Levy, Omer Shem Tov, Iair Horn, and Noa Argamani, as identified by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. Trump’s message was unambiguous: “Shalom Hamas” means both “Hello” and “Goodbye”—urging the group to release the hostages now or face severe consequences. “Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!” he wrote. Trump emphasized that he is “sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job” and warned that no Hamas member would be safe if his demands were not met.
Meeting with Former Hostages and a Call to Action
Trump’s warning was deeply personal, as he had just met with individuals whose lives had been profoundly impacted by Hamas. He described the former hostages’ experiences as lives “destroyed” by the group’s actions. Addressing Hamas directly, he called it their “last warning” and urged the leadership to leave Gaza while they still could. Trump also directed a message to the people of Gaza, painting a stark choice: “A beautiful future awaits, but not if you hold hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, or there will be HELL TO PAY LATER!” His words underscored the urgency and gravity of the situation, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
Bipartisan Support for Trump’s Stance
Trump’s strong stance against Hamas received support from an unexpected corner: Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania and a strong supporter of Israel. Fetterman tweeted in agreement with Trump, saying, “Free all the hostages or start killing Hamas members again. I fully agree with @POTUS.” While political disagreements are common in Washington, the senator’s endorsement highlighted the bipartisan consensus on the need to address Hamas’ hostage-taking and the importance of securing the safe release of all captives. Fetterman’s tweet also suggested that the U.S. should not hesitate to take decisive action if Hamas refuses to comply with Trump’s demands.
The White House Defends Negotiations with Hamas
Trump’s Truth Social post came just hours after the White House faced tough questions about its decision to negotiate with Hamas, a designated terrorist group. During a press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy challenged the administration’s approach, asking, “If the U.S. has a long-standing policy that we do not negotiate with terrorists, then why is the U.S. now negotiating directly and for the first time ever with Hamas?” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded by explaining that the special envoy engaged in these talks has the authority to speak with any group, emphasizing that Israel had been consulted on the matter. Leavitt also stressed that the president believes in making “good-faith efforts to do what’s right for the American people.” She added, “There are American lives at stake,” signaling that the administration’s primary concern is the safety of U.S. citizens being held hostage.
Tensions Over U.S. Negotiations with Hamas
The decision to negotiate with Hamas has sparked controversy, as it appears to contradict the U.S.’s long-standing policy of not engaging with terrorist organizations. Critics argue that such negotiations could legitimize Hamas and set a dangerous precedent, potentially encouraging other terrorist groups to take hostages in hopes of gaining leverage. On the other hand, the administration maintains that the talks are necessary to secure the release of American hostages and are being conducted with Israel’s knowledge and input. This delicate balancing act reflects the complexities of diplomacy in high-stakes situations, where the lives of innocent people hang in the balance.
A Call for Resolve and Action
President Trump’s warning to Hamas serves as a clear call to action, both for the terrorist group and for the international community. By issuing such a direct and stark ultimatum, Trump is attempting to pressure Hamas into releasing hostages and returning the remains of those killed. At the same time, his message to the people of Gaza suggests an attempt to drive a wedge between the group’s leadership and the broader population, encouraging Gazans to reject hostage-taking and embrace a path toward peace. With the situation remaining fluid and tense, the coming days will be critical in determining whether Trump’s strategy yields results or escalates the conflict further. The stakes could not be higher.
