Clicks Expands Its Smartphone Keyboard Cases to Pixel and Galaxy Android Models

The Resurgence of Physical Keyboards: Clicks Technology’s Innovative Solution
The original iPhone, released in 2007, marked a significant shift in the smartphone industry, spelling the end for phones with physical keyboards. The transition to full-front displays with digital keypads became the norm, dominating the market for years. However, in 2023, a new company called Clicks Technology challenged this trend by introducing a groundbreaking accessory: a wrap-around case for iPhones that included a physical keyboard with buttons. Now, Clicks Technology is expanding its product line to include Android phones, offering users the opportunity to experience the nostalgia and functionality of physical keyboards once again.
Clicks Technology Expands to Android: A New Era for Smartphone Typing
Clicks Technology has officially opened preorders for its innovative keyboard cases designed for three of the latest Android handsets: the Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S25, and Motorola Razr 2024. These cases are not just a throwback to the days of physical keyboards; they represent a fusion of nostalgia and modern technology. Each case features a full 26-letter keyboard, complete with additional buttons for social media, app shortcuts, and AI assistant access, enhancing the overall user experience. This move by Clicks Technology signals a potential shift in the smartphone accessory market, as users seek alternatives to the traditional on-screen keyboard.
The Unique Appeal of Clicks Cases: More Than Just a Physical Keyboard
The appeal of Clicks Technology’s keyboard cases extends beyond the physical typing experience. One of the most significant advantages is the liberation of the bottom portion of the smartphone’s display, which is typically occupied by the digital keyboard. This allows users to make full use of their phone’s screen, providing a more immersive experience when browsing, gaming, or multitasking. The keys on the Clicks case are backlit, making it easier to type in low-light conditions, and the case is designed to run off the phone’s battery, eliminating the need for separate charging. The setup is straightforward: simply slide the phone into the case and plug it into the Clicks’ USB-C port, with another port at the bottom of the case for charging the handset.
Pricing and Availability: Affordable Innovation for Android Users
Clicks Technology has made its new Android-compatible cases available for preorder, with introductory prices starting at $99 for those who purchase by March 21. The cases come in a variety of colors, catering to different aesthetic preferences. For Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro users, the cases feature built-in magnets for wireless charging and are available in bright yellow and black color options. Shipping for these models is expected to begin at the end of April. Motorola Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024 users can reserve their cases for a discounted introductory price of $49, with full pricing set at $99. These cases come in light blue and black hues and will start shipping in May. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy S25 (standard model only) is also available for preorder at the introductory price of $49, with shipping set to commence in June. After March 21, the price for all models will increase to $139, the same as the iPhone-compatible versions.
Android-Specific Features: Tailored for a Seamless Experience
One standout feature of the Android-compatible Clicks cases is the inclusion of a dedicated key to launch Google’s AI tool, Gemini. This is a departure from the iPhone versions, which feature a microphone/Siri shortcut. This tailored approach ensures that Android users can fully integrate their AI tools into their typing experience, enhancing productivity and accessibility. The company’s press release also highlighted its impressive track record, having sold over 100,000 keyboards in more than 100 countries. While Clicks Technology has not yet indicated whether it will expand its product line to include cases for other Android or iPhone models, the success of its current offerings suggests a promising future for the company.
A Glimpse into the Future: Clicks Technology’s Vision and Potential
The success of Clicks Technology’s keyboard cases for both iPhone and Android devices indicates a growing demand for physical keyboards in the smartphone market. By combining the convenience of a modern smartphone with the tactile experience of a physical keyboard, Clicks Technology has carved out a niche for itself in the competitive world of smartphone accessories. As the company continues to innovate and expand its product line, it will be interesting to see how it evolves and adapts to the ever-changing needs of smartphone users. With its commitment to quality, functionality, and affordability, Clicks Technology is well-positioned to remain a key player in the market, offering users a unique way to enhance their mobile experience.
