The incident took place just outside the popular Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, drawing a crowd of onlookers curious about the situation.
One local witness commented, “It’s an electric fire in a petrol car.”
Romeo added, “If it’s an old Merc, that will be old money,” while Andrew remarked, “Unfortunately, it wasn’t an electric car. Petrol is far more dangerous.”
Another observer noted, “Ouch, that’s a couple now, recently.”
The London Fire Brigade has been contacted for further details. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no one was taken to the hospital.
