Rushed to PGIMS Hospital in Rohtak, India, the boy arrived unconscious and in critical condition.
Dr. Ishwar Singh, chairman of the Neurosurgery Department, explained that the rod had caused extensive damage to the brain, creating a perilous situation that left little room for error.
The neurosurgical team quickly prepared for an intricate and high-stakes operation to remove the rod and save his life.
Describing the surgery as one of the most challenging they had ever encountered, the medical team revealed that the rod had fractured the skull and caused significant bleeding on the left side.
Its position made the procedure extraordinarily delicate; even the slightest misstep could have resulted in severe neurological impairment or death.
Despite these risks, the surgeons successfully removed the rod with remarkable precision.
Dr. Singh noted the team’s swift and coordinated efforts were critical in preventing irreversible damage.
In an astonishing turn of events, the boy began to regain consciousness just hours after the procedure.
Now on the path to recovery, his condition is reported to be steadily improving.
The dramatic rescue underscores both the resilience of the young patient and the expertise of the surgical team, whose efforts turned a near-tragedy into a miraculous survival story.
