Three thieves brazenly looted food and drinks from the fridges of a Greggs bakery in Glasgow as stunned customers and staff looked on, seemingly powerless to intervene.

A man and two women casually raided the chilled displays, stuffing bottles of drinks and pre-packaged sandwiches into their bags.

One of them then coolly strolled out of the High Street bakery, while the other two remained inside, continuing to grab whatever they could.

A startled customer managed to capture the incident on their phone, documenting the audacious theft.

Meanwhile, a hesitant-looking Greggs employee tentatively stepped out from behind the counter, though no immediate action appeared to be taken. The 20-second clip cut off shortly after.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday, February 11, at the Greggs branch on Broomhill Drive, Glasgow.

In response, outraged locals voiced their frustration, with many condemning the brazenness of the crime and the apparent lack of consequences.

These parasites are picking the pockets of decent, hard-working people who pay tax to keep these maggots alive.

Something needs to change.”

Another fumed: “It makes my blood boil.”

A third sarcastically quipped: “Are they getting all of those for free?”

One exasperated commenter suggested: “Armed security guards required.”

A fifth, taking a more tongue-in-cheek approach, joked: “Excellent, I’m on my way.”

The brazen theft comes amid a surge in shoplifting incidents across the UK, with many retailers reporting increased losses as the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite.

Both Police Scotland and Greggs have been contacted for comment.
