Two men engaged in a terrifying machete fight in the middle of a busy High Street, while horrified shoppers, including children, looked on.
The two individuals, both dressed entirely in black, clashed in the street, forcing traffic to come to a halt.
A stunned bystander, who was on a bus at the time, captured the medieval-style brawl on their phone.

Each man wielded a massive blade—one swung his weapon at the other before stepping back. One of the machetes was almost two feet long, while the other was about one foot in length.
Witnesses shouted out in panic, with one pleading, “Don’t do it, please,” while another urged them to “Stop.”
Thankfully, neither of the men made contact with their opponent, and the disturbing 14-second video came to an abrupt end.
The violent altercation took place on High Street North in East Ham, East London, on Monday afternoon, October 14th.
Members of the public, including children, were seen gathered near a NatWest bank as the chaotic fight unfolded.
A blue Skoda Octavia halted on the road in front of the scene, as reported by VKNews24, while a white Kia Sportage, emerging from a side street, paused when the driver noticed the armed confrontation.
Local resident Lee Daniel reflected on the incident, saying, “It’s not the same East Ham High Street I used to know.”
Another witness, Michael, remarked: “It feels like we’ve returned to medieval times.”
Echoing the sentiment, one onlooker commented, “Medieval sword fighting, 2024 London style.”
Another questioned the state of the country, saying, “What’s wrong with this country?”
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment.
