A young troublemaker has caused significant damage to several luxury vehicles after tossing firecrackers into a drain, triggering a massive underground explosion.

CCTV footage captured the moment when the boy, accompanied by a woman who had just parked her car, suddenly bolted as towering flames erupted from the drain.

Within seconds, a powerful blast sent debris soaring into the air, resembling a volcanic eruption.

The explosion was so intense that two parked cars were lifted off the ground.

One landed back on its wheels, while the other flipped onto its roof as shattered fragments rained down on nearby vehicles.

The dramatic incident took place on January 30 in Neijiang, Sichuan Province, China.

According to reports, the blast was caused by the shockwave and heat from the firecracker igniting a buildup of methane gas within the sewer system.

Authorities in Zizhong County confirmed that multiple vehicles sustained damage in the explosion.

Several cars had their windows and side mirrors shattered, while others suffered dented doors from the impact of flying debris.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or casualties, as both the boy and the woman managed to flee to safety just in time.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area and deploying cranes to clear the wreckage.

The aftermath of the explosion left a gaping crater in the ground, further highlighting the sheer force of the blast.

Local media reported that the young culprit, believed to be around 10 years old, was apprehended by police within an hour.

Authorities are now in discussions with his family regarding the incident.
