Brave Woman Defends Herself as Gunman Tries to Drag Her from Car by Her Hair

A courageous woman managed to thwart a terrifying carjacking attempt in Buenos Aires after a gunman tried to force her out of her vehicle by pulling her hair.

The harrowing encounter, captured on CCTV, shows the woman parked at the side of a street when the armed suspect, accompanied by an accomplice, approaches from the pavement.

The footage reveals the man pulling a firearm from his bag as he strides toward the driver’s open window. He then points the weapon at her while reaching for her car keys.

In an extraordinary display of bravery, the woman fights back, even as the assailant resorts to yanking her hair in an effort to drag her from the vehicle.

The confrontation is interrupted when nearby residents, alerted by the commotion, raise the alarm.

Their intervention forces the gunman to abandon the attack and flee the scene with his accomplice, who was waiting nearby.

The attempted carjacking occurred at around 5:07 p.m. last Sunday, November 24, in the Argentine capital.

Reports indicate the suspect had shouted threats and insults at the woman while demanding her car keys at gunpoint.

The swift action of neighbors created enough chaos to disrupt the attack, although the suspects managed to escape after allegedly threatening the bystanders with the weapon.

Authorities arrived shortly afterward to assist the shaken victim and begin their investigation. While no arrests have yet been made, police continue their search for the two suspects, who remain at large.
