Gym-Goer Dies Suddenly on Leg Extension Machine

A woman tragically passed away while exercising on a leg extension machine at a gym in Brazil.

Shocking footage captured the moment Francineide Pereira Soares, 43, was performing repetitions before briefly pausing and resting her head on her arm.

As she attempted to stand up from the machine, her body suddenly went limp, and she collapsed backward.

Other gym members quickly rushed to her aid, attempting to revive her, but she remained unresponsive.

In the footage, a man is seen lifting her and placing her on the floor before the recording ends.

The incident took place on Monday, February 17, in Santo Estêvão, Brazil.

According to local reports, Soares had complained of a severe headache while working out and appeared to struggle with her breathing just moments before losing consciousness.

A gym instructor reportedly provided first aid while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

Soares was transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically, she was declared dead en route.

The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed, though it is suspected she suffered a sudden medical episode.

Authorities have not disclosed whether she had any pre-existing health conditions, but police stated there were “no signs of a crime.”

As a mark of respect, the gym, Sants Fit, remained closed the following day, February 18.
