Man Wrecks Shakira’s Lamborghini After Winning £200K Supercar
Man crashes £200K Lamborghini Urus once owned by Shakira just months after winning it—now facing huge repair costs and financial struggles. Will he sell the supercar?

A man who won a £200,000 Lamborghini Urus once owned by Shakira has crashed the luxury SUV just months after getting his hands on it, and the repair costs are expected to be staggering.
Michael Mejía, a visual artist with over 82,000 Instagram followers, won the striking purple 2022 Lamborghini Urus S in a competition on December 6.
Along with the supercar, he also received a £70,000 cash prize to help cover taxes and expenses.

However, despite the financial cushion, owning the high-performance vehicle has proven to be a costly challenge.
Over the weekend, Michael was involved in a road accident, leaving the driver’s side of the SUV badly dented.
A separate image from the scene shows another car with a crumpled front end, suggesting a heavy collision. Fortunately, Michael reportedly escaped unscathed, but the same can’t be said for his luxury ride.
The Lamborghini, which appeared in Shakira’s music video for *Soltera*, has already been a significant financial burden for its new owner.
According to local reports, Michael spends around £1,900 per month just to keep the car, excluding fuel, maintenance, and other expenses.
On top of that, taxes, legal transfer fees, and insurance have only added to the strain.

Despite his excitement upon winning the car, he has now admitted to considering selling or auctioning it to ease the financial pressure.
Given that Shakira herself designed the vehicle, its value could be even higher than its original £200,000 price tag.

The high-powered Urus S boasts a 666hp V8 engine, capable of going from 0 to 100kph in just 3.5 seconds, with a blistering top speed of 305kph.
The accident reportedly took place on a highway in the US, and Michael had been posting images of the Lamborghini in Miami, Florida, just two weeks prior.
In mid-February, he shared a heartfelt tribute to the Colombian superstar, thanking her for the extravagant prize.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this stroller,” he wrote. “You have changed my life. You can’t imagine how much. I’ve already driven it and it’s incredible. I haven’t stopped crying. I love you so much.”
Now, just weeks later, the dream car has turned into an expensive headache.
