Missing Woman Discovered in ‘Makeshift Tomb’ Behind Wall After Chilling Warning from Mum

The body of Alexis Schuler, a 29-year-old mother of three who had been reported missing, has been discovered inside a “makeshift tomb” at the home of her boyfriend, Devontae Gray, in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Authorities say Gray, 30, has been arrested and charged with murder and related offenses after allegedly confessing to the killing.

Schuler was first reported missing by her mother, Tiwana Schuler, who last saw her daughter on January 10 and grew suspicious when she could not reach her.

Concerned for her safety, she alerted authorities on January 14.

Days later, on January 19, police executed a search warrant at Gray’s residence, where they uncovered Schuler’s remains hidden behind a recently built wall beneath a staircase.

According to court documents cited by multiple local news outlets, Gray allegedly placed Schuler’s body in a plastic storage bin before encasing it in concrete.

He then constructed a fake-brick drywall to further conceal it.

Her remains were later found buried beneath layers of soil and hay.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that Schuler had been fatally shot.

Schuler, who lived in Washington, D.C., shared one child with Gray.

Her mother, Tiwana, spoke to local media, revealing that she had previously warned her daughter to be cautious around him.

“I told her to be careful,” she told Fox5 DC, reflecting on their last conversation.

Gray is currently being held at the Department of Corrections. It remains unclear whether he has entered a plea or secured legal representation.
