According to reports, the 32-year-old attempted to avoid a pedestrian who was crossing the road but lost control during the maneuver.
The swerve failed to prevent impact—he struck the man before crashing directly into a wall.
Emergency services were dispatched immediately, but by the time they arrived, Defour was already in cardiac arrest.
Despite efforts to revive him on the scene, the father-of-one could not be saved.
The pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 60s, was severely injured and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
As of now, there has been no confirmation of the speed at which Defour was traveling on his Suzuki Hayabusa at the time of the crash, one of the fastest motorcycles in production.

Just three days before his untimely death, Defour had uploaded a video that, in hindsight, feels ominously prophetic. In the short clip, viewed nearly a million times, he appears in his iconic helmet and captions it with a dark joke referencing his birth and potential death years: “Me in my helmet after almost doing a 1993 – 2025.”
What was likely meant as a grimly humorous nod to a close call now carries an eerie weight for those who followed his content.
The comment section beneath the post has since transformed into a tribute wall, flooded with condolences and disbelief from fans and fellow riders.

Condolences to his relatives.” Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing heartbreak over the loss and reflecting on the haunting nature of his final upload.
“You predicted it unfortunately, rest in peace,” read one comment.
Another follower wrote, “Woah… it’s very, very hard to see such humour after the announcement of your accident. Rest in peace. May God rest your soul.”
Defour leaves behind a community of admirers, friends, and family members mourning the sudden loss of a personality who lived fast, rode harder, and tragically passed doing what he loved.
