Ana Valeria Mireles, a popular rodeo queen and social media influencer, has tragically passed away at the age of 20 following a devastating car accident.

Known affectionately as Miss Rodeo, she sustained fatal injuries in the crash, though details surrounding the incident, including its exact cause, remain unclear.

With a passion for the rodeo that was described as “contagious,” Ana Valeria frequently shared glimpses of her life with her 27,000 Instagram followers, where she built a community of fans who admired her dedication to the sport.

Her sudden passing has left her loved ones, as well as the rodeo world, in mourning.

The Mexican Rodeo Foundation released a heartfelt statement on Tuesday, March 11, paying tribute to the young star.

“Valeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador of cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young women.

Her smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious.

Although her passing leaves a void, her legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of rodeo,” the statement read.

“Dear Valeria, we will remember you fondly. Rest in peace, dear queen.

May God bring comfort and solace to the hearts of her beloved family.”

Ana Valeria, originally from Sabinas Hidalgo, died in Monterrey, located in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico.

She first gained widespread recognition in 2022 when she represented Mexico at the World Rodeo Championship in Wyoming, solidifying her status as a rising star in the sport.

Holding the title of Miss Rodeo Nuevo León from 2020 to 2022 and later being crowned Miss Rodeo Mexico from 2021 to 2022, she became a well-respected figure in the rodeo community.

A skilled barrel racer, Ana Valeria participated in the high-speed event, which requires riders to navigate a cloverleaf pattern around barrels in the fastest time possible—a competition that demands both precision and a strong bond between horse and rider.

Her unexpected passing has sparked an outpouring of grief online, with heartbroken fans flooding her Instagram with condolences.

One follower, Regina, expressed her shock, writing, “I can’t believe it, this news left me in shock. Rest in peace, Valeria.”

Another user, Enrique, reflected on the fragility of life, commenting, “Sad news.
