Shocking Moment People Hurl Fire Sticks at Elephant in Wildlife Park
Shocking footage from Nepal’s Bardiya National Park shows people attacking an elephant with fire sticks. The act has sparked outrage over wildlife protection ethics.

An unsettling act of cruelty has surfaced from Bardiya National Park in Nepal, where an elephant was subjected to an attack involving fire sticks.
The distressing incident, which occurred on February 11, was captured in a harrowing video that has since circulated on social media, sparking outrage among wildlife conservationists and animal lovers alike.
The footage shows a group of individuals entering the protected area and hurling flaming objects at the elephant, allegedly in an effort to defend themselves.
The video, later shared on Instagram, was accompanied by a caption explaining that the group had resorted to fire to drive the animal away.
However, the post went on to question the morality of such an action, pointing out the troubling contradiction between the park’s mission to safeguard wildlife and the suffering inflicted on the elephant.
“We later confirmed that the elephant belonged to Bardiya National Park – a place that is supposed to protect and care for wildlife.
But how does this act of cruelty reflect protection?” the caption read.
The post concluded with a powerful statement: “No animal deserves to suffer like this.”
Bardiya National Park is renowned for its biodiversity and conservation efforts, serving as a sanctuary for endangered species, including elephants, tigers, and rhinos.
This incident has raised concerns about human-wildlife conflict in the region and the measures needed to ensure both animal welfare and human safety.
