Teen dad takes newborn son out of backpack and leaves him on the pavement

A teenage father was caught on camera pulling his newborn son from a backpack and abandoning him on the pavement in a shocking incident that unfolded in Mexico earlier this week.

The disturbing footage, recorded on Tuesday, February 11, shows the infant wrapped in a plastic bag and left beside a parked car.

Concerned locals quickly contacted emergency services after discovering the baby alone on the street.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical attention before transporting the child to a hospital in Tultitlán.

Doctors have since confirmed that the infant is in good health despite the circumstances of his abandonment.

The following day, the baby’s 18-year-old father, identified as Lucio David—his surname withheld—surrendered to authorities in Mexico City.

He was accompanied by his own father as he turned himself in at the public prosecutor’s office.

Officials are now investigating both Lucio and the child’s mother, 21-year-old Diana Jaciel, on suspicion of child abandonment.

Family members have revealed that the couple began their relationship when Lucio was still a minor.

With the case now under review, prosecutors have requested that the infant be placed under the care of the Child Protection Department upon his discharge from the hospital.

However, Lucio’s mother has expressed her intention to gain custody of her grandson.

Speaking to local media, Dulha Utrera stated, “My intention is to get custody.

At least temporarily, so the child can be in my care while everything gets sorted out. What I want is to keep my grandson.”

As of now, no formal charges have been filed against the young parents, and authorities continue their investigation into the troubling case.
