As the video shows, the man cocked his gun upon arrival and made his way inside, targeting individuals at the counter.
He first approached a couple, stealing two bags from them, before turning to three other customers and reportedly seizing their possessions.
One victim recounted the terrifying encounter, stating, “We were shopping when I suddenly felt a gun pointed at my head.
When I turned around, I saw the criminal’s face—a white man with a beard.
He threatened us and took my mum’s bag, my wallet, a gold chain, and a bag containing my wireless headphones.”
The victim went on to describe how the robber moved through the store, taking mobile phones, wallets, and a handbag from other shoppers.
After the suspect fled, the victims contacted local police, who launched a swift investigation.
Using GPS tracking technology embedded in one of the stolen iPhones, officers traced the suspect to a motel in the Sucre neighborhood.
Upon arrival at the motel, authorities spotted the motorbike believed to have been used in the robbery.
Further searches uncovered stolen mobile phones concealed in a bag on the roof, while wallets, handbags, identification documents, and bank cards were discovered on a staircase.
One of the victims emphasized the pivotal role of the stolen iPhone in locating the suspect.
“These types of iPhones provide GPS information as long as they aren’t destroyed,” they explained.
“That’s how we managed to track him down to a seedy motel in Sucre.”
Thanks to the rapid response of the police, all stolen items were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
The suspect has been arrested, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
