Tourist Attacks Doctors After Waking Up in Hospital

A tourist who was discovered unconscious on a Bangkok street erupted in violence after waking up confused in a hospital ward, attacking several medical workers in a shocking outburst caught on CCTV.

The unidentified man, who had no identification on him and has since refused to cooperate with the police, was found collapsed on the street on January 22.

He was transported to Sirindhorn Hospital, where he regained consciousness and immediately turned aggressive, lashing out at the staff attending to him.

Chilling security footage captured the moment he assaulted two medical workers before landing a brutal punch on a woman, knocking her to the floor.

The chaos escalated as he unleashed a barrage of blows on a doctor, sending the physician crashing into a stretcher where a sick child lay.

A nurse attempted to intervene but was violently overpowered—dragged to the ground by her hair as the man continued his rampage.

Eventually, a doctor and a security guard managed to subdue him, wrestling him to the floor as the footage cut off.

Following the incident, hospital staff sedated the assailant before handing him over to authorities at Udom Suk Police Station.

However, police chief Colonel Somsak Iamsuk revealed that the suspect remains uncooperative, refusing to disclose his identity or nationality.

Officers are now working with the Immigration Bureau to determine who he is.

Authorities confirmed that at least one hospital worker sustained injuries in the attack.

The suspect is now facing charges related to causing a disturbance in a state facility and physically harming others.

Shocked locals have expressed their horror at the incident.

One resident remarked, “I can’t believe something like this happened in a hospital.

Is nowhere safe anymore?” Another, Jenny, added: “It’s terrifying.

Hospitals should be safe havens, and yet people acting like that make it impossible.”
