The investigation into these burglaries reached a critical milestone on February 2, when law enforcement agencies executed search warrants in three separate locations: Oregon City, Bend, and Portland. In Oregon City, the TPD, alongside the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and other agencies, served a warrant at an apartment complex located in the 14100 block of South Beavercreek Road. Similarly, in Bend, the local police department, supported by the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team, executed a warrant at an apartment complex in the 55000 block of Gross Drive. These operations yielded significant results, with investigators recovering large amounts of cash, stolen jewelry, and other evidence directly tied to the burglaries. Additionally, multiple vehicles were seized during the raids, further solidifying the connection between the suspects and the crimes.

The suspects, all Colombian nationals, were subsequently arrested by the Tigard Police Department on felony charges related to the burglaries. The individuals, identified as Herbert Grueso-Vergara, 30; Maria Castro-Gamboa, 26; Fabio Vergara-Cortes, 29; and Fatima Gomez-Aragon, 33, were extradited to Washington County to face charges. In a follow-up operation on February 5, the TPD, in conjunction with the Portland Police Bureau and its Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), served another search warrant at an apartment complex located in the 9400 block of North Bristol Avenue. This operation also yielded stolen jewelry and additional evidence linked to the ongoing investigation. The recovery of these items further strengthens the case against the suspects and highlights the meticulous nature of the crimes, which appear to have been carefully planned and executed.
