Tori Spelling Says She Doesn’t Drink Water: ‘How I’m Still Living, No One Knows’

Tori Spelling Opens Up About Her Surprising Aversion to Water
In a recent episode of her podcast MisSpelling, actress and television personality Tori Spelling revealed a surprising and unconventional habit: she doesn’t drink water. At 51 years old, Tori humorously compared herself to a cactus, a plant known for surviving with minimal water intake. She jokingly remarked, “Just water me once in a while, and I somehow survive. How I’m still living, no one knows. I don’t drink water. And when I say I don’t drink water, I don’t drink water.”
Tori traced her aversion to water back to her childhood. She recalled how her mother, Candy Spelling, would mix her medication with Coke syrup when she was young. This practice made Tori suspicious of any liquid given to her, even water. Her distrust was so strong that she would question her mother, asking, “What’d you put in here? Like, what are you giving me?” Her mother would respond defensively, “What, you think I’m trying to poison you?” This childhood experience seems to have laid the foundation for her lifelong dislike of water.
During her pregnancies, Tori made an exception to her no-water rule. She understood the importance of hydration for her unborn children, but she made it clear that she was only drinking water for their benefit, not her own. She explained, “I’m drinking for them, not myself.” This contrasting relationship with liquids is evident in her preference for other beverages. While she can quickly down a glass of wine, water makes her feel nauseous after just a few sips.
Tori’s aversion to water has also led to some amusing and unexpected situations. She admitted that she even suspected her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, of spiking a ginger ale he once offered her. Despite their amicable relationship following their divorce, Tori’s distrust of liquids from others remains strong. She clarified that her issue isn’t exactly a fear of water but more of an intense dislike, referring to it as an “allergy to water.”
Instead of water, Tori has turned to other beverages to stay hydrated. She confessed to drinking ginger ale, Diet Dr. Pepper, and coconut water. While these choices may not align with traditional health advice, they are her preferred alternatives to water. Her honesty about her drinking habits, like many other aspects of her life, showcases her openness and authenticity.
Tori Spelling has built a reputation for being candid about her life, leaving no topic off-limits. From her sex life to her marriage and family, she shares it all on her podcast. Her recent revelations about her water aversion are just another example of her willingness to discuss unconventional personal habits. Whether it’s her unique drinking preferences or her past experiences, Tori continues to engage her audience with her unfiltered and relatable stories.
